I meet people on the forums pretty much every time I log on. I've gotten tons of friends from here through Nolani Academy and the Screenshot Exposition forums who keep in touch with me ingame as well.

Sometimes I might bump into random people that I recognize from the forums, and end up saying hi.

Finding that the NF Green Pricecheck thread mod (Kobey) was an Officer in my new guild was quite cool. Then another time he was trading with LeviGarett, the weapon mod PC guru

Quite often I see people from guru or gameamp. Gameampers are easier to spot becuase they're in the AMP guild.

After this post I can safely say I HAVE seen someone from this forum in game before...although mainly cause he used to be in my guild...

Oddly enough until last night I'd never come across a guru forum member in game. Then I'm sitting in mission and who should I see but our very own Vala? Excellent player, very nice person. Our group totally bit after aggroing a mob we could have left alone but it was cool to see someone from the boards.

I have received a few whispers in-game from people and through that made a few good friends in-game resulting from posting around this forum. Having said that, there are some people I most certainly would not want to meet...arguments would be started, and I would have to make room on my ignore list for new people...

A great game to play is to go to the International District where Gaile Gray is and watch out for people you might recognise...

I've seen a few in game, sold stuff to a few, and played with a few. It's easier to play with Guru members than randoms, and they're easy to contact too :P

i play with some ppl that post on the pvp forums. i met them in game before i registered on guru and then i correlated them with some guru ids.
it happened that i flamed some without realising we're pvp pals XD

Not counting the people from the Auction house, I've seen two or three forum members in-game. I've seen Zinger (long time ago when the 'ask me ANY question' thing was new. hehe), grouped with X of Thulcandra and Don Corleone... I'm quite sure i've seen more but just didn't recognize their IGN.

I have played with a few from the forums but the most memorable is about almost 2 years ago a guildie (Fates Hands a.k.a. Soul Torn still trying to get him to play again.) asked me to go to THK with him and Racthoh. Racthoh was out by himself tanking all the mursaat and I so wanted to pull the lever on the catapult... Like I said it was a long time ago, don't know if he remembers... The days go by fast when your having fun.. I see a lot of the GWGuru people in Kamadan when Gaile is on, but usually if I see someone from the forums I usually do a /bow to them and move on... My way of saying Hi and goodbye in one swoop. Til I see yall around.

Ive seen a few members guru here and there especially during big events like Halloween, Winterday and i saw quite a few on the ATS Test Server. Oddly enough none of them seem to notice me

I either never see them, or dont realise its them. i dont remember meeting up with anyone from guru ever.

Yes, but most of it was from when I was in LA although I got it quite alot when leading HA teams.

Yes, when I come and demand for money (is an arthag who does commissions over at the art section). So yes I've got a long list of new acquaintances on my friendliest, mostly commissioners but also random people who've started to chat with me ingame.

Mostly it's been the other way around though, I've spotted here on the forums several random players I've known through guilds or hanging out in Jea.

I've only encountered people already on my friends list knowingly.... people who I have arranged to add to that list.... but have still managed to randomly run into. I've also randomly encountered my guildies in certain places too.... though they have certain areas they like to hang out (Nahpui Quarter for one)...

But random people from the boards?
I honestly wouldn't know.
There are many people like me who don't use their webnames as their character names.
